Gas Mask (M50) Fit Test
- Each military member must complete gas mask QNFT upon arrival at his/her first permanent duty station or within 30 days of assignment to a deployable Unit Type Code.
- Refrain from eating, drinking, or smoking 45 minutes prior to appointment, as doing this can negatively affect your fit test
- Member must re-accomplish gas mask QNFT if a new size or type mask is issued, the wearer gains/loses 10% or more of body weight following completion of the initial QNFT or the wearer experiences extensive dental work, facial surgery, scarring, or disfigurement.
